The 2007 Sikhpoint.com Interfaith Calendar design and concept is an invitation to learn and honor the collective spiritual and cultural heritage, magnificent artistic treasures, and our shared humanity. The selected artwork, representing high holy places and breathtaking architectural achievements of major faiths, is presented in spectacular colors with inviting messages and artistic embellishments. The inspirational thoughts and sacred quotes from Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Sikh Holy Book) affirm the universal spirit, lessons, and commandments enshrined in the Sikh Scripture and that are an important part of Sikh doctrine, tradition, history and way of life.

One finds even in preliminary study and reflection the unmistakable echoes, message, and common spiritual threads in the faiths and traditions of other major religions that make-up the panels of the beautiful human spiritual tapestry. They all point to the One Divine Source and Cosmic Fountainhead which is All-Light, All-Love, All-Embracing, Benevolent Universal Father and Mother of all living beings, Supreme Master Architect - Unfathomable, Immaculate, Eternal Truth, and beyond our understanding and measure. According to the Sikh faith, this Immaculate Reality and "revealed to us by the Grace of Divine Guru (Enlightened Teacher)." Each major faith and spiritual practice directs the faithful to know God according to its own revelations, spiritual heritage and traditions, and understanding of its sacred doctrine and philosophy.

As an honor and thanksgiving to the Supreme Creator, we can begin our spiritual journey by recognizing the sanctity of all faiths and respect for all cultures, traditions, God's diverse and colorful family, and splendor of His awesome Majesty reflected in Nature and Creation. May the humanity's collective revealed Divine Light and spiritual radiance help us to see that our paths converge at "friendly temporal crossroads," even as we pursue the unique wisdoms of our own distinct faiths and spiritual commandments.

Remembering that "no one is outside the Circle of Divine Love and Benevolence" all visual icons, images, artistic creations, rituals and practices are simply important symbols that have the power to connect us with each other and with the Divine if we see and learn from them in an open and loving spirit.

With regards and blessings,
