Tsunami Relief


GHANAIA is an international relief effort, established by UNITED SIKHS in 2003 to provide impartial, non-partisan aid and assistance to victims in disaster situations. GHANAIA stands for Giving Humanitarian Aid Necessities Assistance Impartially to All and is inspired by the Sikh saint, Bhai Ghanaia Ji, who served in the army of the 10th Sikh Enlightener, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and gave water and medicine to ailing war soldiers and victims without prejudice, seeing the same God in all beings. Established in 1999, Khalsa Aid is an international non-profit aid and relief organization founded on the Sikh principles of selfless service and universal love. Khalsa Aid is a UK Registered Charity (#1080374) with the UK Charities Commission and also has volunteers in North America & Asia. Khalsa Aid has provided relief assistance to victims of disasters, wars, and other tragic events around the world.

Khalsa Aid (K.A.) is sending a team of volunteers to Sri Lanka and other affected areas to assess the situation on the ground to assist in the humanitarian relief effort. K.A. will be linking up with local NGO's and, where possible, work alongside them to provide assistance.

AN international Sikh relief effort to help the earthquake and Tsunami victims in Indonesia, spearheaded by Malaysian-based Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (Malaysian Sikh Youth), is well under way. SNSM urgently needs donations for medicine, dry food, toiletries for Acheh. Please do not donate clothes. All cash donations for Sikh Tsunami Relief Fund can be channeled via direct debit to

This is the co-ordination center for the GLOBAL SIKHS - ACEH RELIEF MISSION. It is also the head quarters of Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia - one of the core groups of this mission.
