Rupi K. Sandhu is the author of a dual language (Punjabi/English) children's book titled, I'm Ready To Go To My New School. The book reflects concerns of children who face challenges in various cultural environments. Not only is this book a great tool for children who are new to the country, it is also beneficial for Sikh parents who wish to help their children prepare for new school in a new environment. Furthermore, the book will help develop literacy skills in children because most children will to relate to its contents.

Several years of teaching and working with children in a multicultural environment has motivated the author to write this book, which has been well received in public libraries and schools that have large population of ESL families.
