On Divorce
Editorial
We are told that the most common reason for a broken marriage is incompatibility, a term that is at most ambiguous. Compatibility simply defined means harmony. It is also assumed that a man and a woman with the same set of likes and dislikes will, by default, be compatible. As a result looking for a marriage partner becomes a search for personal-likeness in the better half.

Dying Is Hard, Living Is Harder
By Durlabh Singh
The world is a cruel place where tenderness, finer emotions and aesthetic sensibilities are not accounted for, where each is for himself or herself, elbowing others to gain status and a place in society. With his intensely charitable heart he wanted to give the world something grand verging on religious fervor but sadly the world rejected him and deprived him of every comfort.

Japji - Meditation On Truth
By Carol Marshall
The Sikh Japuji or Morning Prayer quite easily could contain at most all the essential points of the Sikh religion. Since, according to the prayer, prayer alone makes the soul whole, there is little wonder why each morning is started by prayer, and especially this one. The Japuji seems to be a reminder and inspirer for each believer to not only review his faith as he says prayer; but by meeting each tenet again, he is filled with the emotion, the idea, and the spirit of faith. It charges the day to come with meaning, purpose and incentive for further understanding of the faith.

The Ghost of Indira Gandhi
By Amitav Ghosh
Our next bus was not quite full, which was unusual. Just as it was pulling out, a man ran out of the office and jumped on. He was middle-aged and dressed in shirt and trousers, evidently an employee in one of the government buildings. He was a Sikh, but I scarcely noticed this at the time.

A Monument To Man's Folly
By George F. Kennan
And meanwhile, the seasons have come and gone. The snows of winter have sifted it onto the huge rafters of the garret; in spring, year after year, the blossoms of the fruit trees in the upper gardens have fluttered down onto my window ledges; on countless days the faint showers of midsummer have swept over the hill and cooled the hot tiles of my roof; in autumn dead leaves have blown in whirlpools in the courtyards; the winds have screamed through the archways on the long black nights.

Ghostly Experience
By Sona Kaur Katial

Uplift Of Dalits: Some Recommendations
By Nishikant Waghmare
Today Dalits are at the crossroads. They are confused as to which road to take to continue their journey for emancipation. Their oppressors are actively promoting divisions among Dalits on the basis of sub-castes. There is lack of unity since majority of Dalits are poor laborers. They do not have the land, factories, businesses, trades and other means of production except a meager representation in Government jobs. uzbekistan

Poem - Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple)
By Chris Mooney Singh and Durlabh Singh
Here everything is resplendent with the light of the Infinite, emanating from the sanctum sanctorum. Here the eternal melody rings uninterruptedly and enters the very soul of man. Here the spiritual ambrosia flows giving hope and life to the sullen, the bewildered and the neurotic.
