Editor- This survey lends credence to the general feeling among American Sikhs that ignorance about their religion has resulted in many discriminatory acts against the community since September 11, 2001. We appreciate the author’s efforts to shed light on this very important topic and hope that his study will encourage similar studies in USA and abroad. While we show our gratitude to the author, we would also like to point out a minor correction. Sikh religion is not a combination of two religions as suggested in Question 4. Although, in the past, some scholars have erroneously made such claims, these claims are now overwhelmingly rejected.
