The above results demonstrate:
Chicago voters make up one quarter of all Illinois voters and tend to lean heavily Democrat, giving Dr. Kathuria stronger ability to win over Democrat areas of Illinois than most Republicans.
Dr. Kathuria polls at least statistically even with candidates like John Borling and Steve Rauschenberger (averaging the various demographics where he polled above or below the other candidates). In all previous polls, similar margins of error can also be found comparing Dr. Kathuria’s numbers to these candidates.
Dr. Kathuria polls highest among middle class voters (income: $30,000-$74,999), which make up the majority of voters in Illinois, and seniors, which have the highest turnout of any age group in Illinois.
Dr. Kathuria has the best chance of retaining the Republican seat in the U.S. Senate and for winning the November General Election. He is the only candidate who can attract the minority, young, and independent vote. Dr. Kathuria is the only minority candidate in the 8 -way Republican race and the only Asian American candidate running in both parties.
With over 400,000 Asian Americans in Illinois, Dr. Kathuria is the only candidate who will attract the Asian American voter as well as the Hispanic American voter (700,000 registered voters), and the African American voter (950,000 registered voters). This minority voter base is equivalent to half of the voters in the Republican Primary which traditionally attracts about 700,000-800,000 voters. About 35% of Hispanic American voters, 20% of Asian American voters, and 10% of African American voters tend to vote Republican.
Dr. Kathuria is endorsed by the Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization (IVI-IPO) The organization is one of the single most prominent voting groups, estimated to influence 900,000 voters throughout Illinois. He is also endorsed by Terry Miller, who was elected by his peers to the position of President of the Illinois Republican County Chairman’s Association from 1996-2000. Mr. Miller is chairing the campaign team.
